Two Catholic grammar schools in Omagh have become the latest to abandon the use of transfer tests results to select pupils for 2021 the BBC has reported.
Loreto Grammar School and the Christian Brothers' Grammar School said they had taken the decision "in light of the unique circumstances".
Both schools who would normally use results from the PPTC's GL Assessment.

Lagan College, Belfast will not use AQE or GL Assessment results to select any pupils for 2021 the BBC has reported.

The school would normally use academic selection to admit 35% of new pupils into year 8.
The school's full admissions criteria for 2021 is due to be published in the autumn and it will all be based on the criteria it had previously used to select 65% of pupils.

Lagan College also said that neither test would be held in the school in November and December 2020.

5 Catholic grammar schools in the Newry/Kilkeel area have announced that they will not be using GL Assessment results to select pupils for 2021 the BBC has reported.

The schools are;
Abbey Christian Brothers' Grammar School, Newry
Our Lady's Grammar School, Newry
Sacred Heart Grammar School, Newry
St Colman's College, Newry
St Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel

The AQE have announced changes to assessment dates on their website

The assessment dates will now be;
Paper 1: Saturday 21st November 2020
Paper 2: Saturday 28th November 2020
Paper 3: Saturday 12th December 2020

Other confirmed dates;
Registration opens: Thursday 14th May 2020
Registration closes: Friday 25th September 2020.
Results Saturday 30th January 2021.
